The colorful world of children takes shape through art.

Minimalist sculptures crafted from polyester by Ayla Turan capture and reflect the colorful worlds of children. The smooth white surfaces of the sculptures symbolize the innocence of childhood, transforming every corner of the hotel into an opportunity for our guests to explore.

Among the artworks showcased in the Aksa Art Collection are Let Me Tell You A Secret (2024) and Take It Easy. In addition to these works being showcased, Illuminate My Path (Yolumu Aydınlat) (2025), Spring Dream II (2023), Fragile (2024) and Just Come, I’ll Wait (2023) are also displayed at the hotel and available for purchase.

Ayla Turan (born 1973, Hamburg) graduated from the Sculpture Department of Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. She approaches everyday objects and figures with a childlike sense of whimsy as she encourages the audience to look beyond the surface and concentrate on a wide range of social issues . Her sculptures almost always include a sense of motion as they are very playful and dynamic in their nature. Even though these sculptures don’t actually move, they are an essential part of her works. Turan’s most recent sculptures tell the tales of children and their inner worlds. While approaching these sculptures with a minimalist touch she explores the inner worlds of children through a sociological, theological, psychological and cultural lens. She captures their colorful worlds through form, while the smooth white surfaces of her sculptures symbolize the innocence and purity of their world. Turan’s outdoor sculptures are displayed in Turkey, Germany, France, Hungary, Israel, Latvia, South Korea, Dubai, Egypt, Italy, India, Syria, Burkina Faso, China, Sweden, USA, Bahrain Museum of Contemporary Art, Vermont West Rutland Art Park (USA), and Mexico.
